Return & Refund Policy
At Angela for NYC, our goal is to keep shopping with us simple and transparent. This policy lays out when items can be returned and how refunds work. When you place an order on our website, you confirm that you've read and agreed to the terms below.
1. Return Window
You may ask to return an eligible item within 30 days of the order being delivered, as long as every condition in this policy is satisfied.
2. What an Item Needs to Qualify
For a return to be accepted, the product has to meet all of the following:
- It must be unused, unworn, and free of any damage
- It must come back exactly as it arrived
- Every original label, tag, and piece of packaging must be included
- The request must reach us within the return window
- Our support team must approve the return before you ship anything back
Briefly trying something on for size and fit — the way you would in a store fitting room — is fine. Wearing it beyond that is not.
3. Items That Can't Be Returned
Some products are not eligible for return, including:
- Anything with a broken hygiene seal
- Custom or personalized pieces
- Items damaged through mishandling or misuse
For hygiene reasons, underwear, shapewear, and bras can't be returned once the hygiene seal has been removed.
4. Return Shipping and Restocking Fee
Every approved return has to be sent to our central warehouse in Asia.
As the customer, you're responsible for:
- The full cost of return shipping
- Picking a courier that can handle customs clearance
- Any customs duties, taxes, or extra charges
- Completing accurate customs paperwork for the shipment
Angela for NYC can't be held responsible for return parcels that are held up, turned away, or lost because of customs problems or incorrect shipping.
Restocking Fee
A 15% restocking fee applies to every approved return. It covers the inspection, handling, and restocking of the items that come back.
The same 15% fee also applies to:
- Packages that are never opened
- Orders refused at the door
- Parcels left unclaimed and automatically sent back to us
Exception: We may waive the restocking fee if the item arrived faulty or damaged, subject to our review.
5. Return Address
Send your return only to the address our support team gives you once your request is approved.
Anything sent to a different address can't be processed or accepted.
6. How to Start a Return
To begin, get in touch with our support team by email.
Email Hello@angelafornyc.com and include:
- The item or items you'd like to return
- Why you're returning them
- Photos of the product (required if it's damaged or wrong)
- Your full name and shipping address
- Your order number
We'll reply with the next steps within 12–24 business hours (Monday–Sunday).
7. Cancelling an Order
You can cancel an order within 30 minutes of completing your purchase.
Once it moves into processing, it can no longer be cancelled. After delivery, you're welcome to request a return under this policy.
8. How Refunds Work
Once we've received your return and checked it over:
- We'll let you know the result of the inspection
- If it's approved, your refund goes back to the original payment method
Refunds are processed within up to 10 business days, though the exact timing depends on your bank or payment provider.
A few things to keep in mind:
- The 15% restocking fee is deducted where it applies
- Original shipping costs are not refundable
- Any optional insured shipping you chose at checkout is also non-refundable
9. Discounts and Partial Returns
If your order used a promotional discount — a bundle deal or a buy-more-save-more offer, say — and you send part of it back, your refund may be adjusted.
Discounts are recalculated on the items you keep, not the ones you originally bought.
Example: if sending items back means the order no longer qualifies for the original promotion, that discount is removed and the refund is recalculated to match.
Refunds always reflect the final order value after these adjustments. Return shipping stays your responsibility, and the 15% restocking fee may still apply.
10. Store Credit
In some cases, and at our discretion, we may offer store credit as a discount code instead of a refund.
Store credit issued as a discount code:
- Is non-refundable
- Can be issued only once per order
- Can be put toward a future purchase on our site
- Can't be exchanged for cash or moved to a different order
11. Failed Delivery or Wrong Address
If a parcel comes back to us because the address given at checkout was wrong or incomplete, we may:
- Arrange a reshipment once the parcel returns to our warehouse and the correct address is confirmed, or
- Offer store credit as a goodwill gesture, depending on the circumstances
If returned items aren't in their original condition, we may apply a reduction in value.
12. Changes to This Policy
Angela for NYC may update or revise this policy at any time. Any change takes effect as soon as it's published on the website.
